A New, Mysterious BoC Trailer
WARP Records sent out an email today with nothing but the
that links to a section of the WARP Records website, showing a "trailer" of various BoC clips set to video (some would argue these are the sources for the samples in some of the tracks). This site, of course, promotes BoC's upcoming EP, Trans Canada Highway, which is due out 29 May. Of the tracks featured in the video is The Smallest Weird Number from Geogaddi, A Is to B as B Is to C, also from Geogaddi, and then in a rather surprising move, the unreleased song P.C. (Porno Clip?) from A Few Old Tunes (an unreleased cassette of BoC tracks made for friends and family), with accompanying visuals (not safe for work). Some have speculated this is BoC's response to the reaction they got from the Dayvan Cowboy video (which comes on the Trans Canada Highway EP), which some fans felt wasn't "BoC enough". This short trailer features all the cliche Boards elements - the 70's logo and signature tune, grainy Hi 8 footage, hexagons, etc. Either way, a treat to say the least and here's hoping it appears on the Trans Canada Highway EP.
You can order the Trans Canada Highway EP from WARPMart. In addition, you can hear sound samples of Skyliner, one of the EP's best tracks, at Bleep.
The website was designed by A Remote Location, which, for the moment, only is a shade of turquoise...
